1. Scope and roles
This policy applies to InviteLynk's website, dashboards, invitation pages, invite cards, and support interactions. InviteLynk controls account, purchase, product-usage, and support data used to provide the platform. For guest details and invitation content entered by a couple, the couple decides what to collect and publish; InviteLynk processes that data to provide the requested service.
2. Data we collect
- Account data, such as email address, profile details, and authentication records.
- Invitation and card content, including names, dates, family details, venues, stories, photographs, and audio you upload.
- Guest-management data, such as guest name, group, tag, companion, delivery/open status, and personalised guest code.
- RSVP data, such as name, email, response, selected events, party size, and message.
- Transaction records, such as payment status, reference, amount, and date. We do not intend to store full card or UPI credentials.
- Technical data needed for security and operation, such as IP address, device/browser information, logs, session cookies, and timestamps.
- Messages and information you send when requesting support or exercising a privacy right.
3. Why we use data
We process personal data to:
- create accounts, authenticate users, and provide invitation and card features;
- publish the content you choose and deliver personalised guest experiences;
- collect and show RSVPs and manage guest lists on the couple's instructions;
- process orders, keep transaction records, and provide customer support;
- prevent abuse, enforce our Terms, maintain security, and diagnose failures;
- meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims.
Where consent is required, we request it through an appropriate notice or action. You may withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us, without affecting processing already completed or processing otherwise permitted by law.
4. Couples and guest privacy
Couples must collect and upload guest data fairly, provide any required notice, respect guest requests, and avoid unnecessary or sensitive information. If you are a guest, you may contact the couple directly or ask InviteLynk to help route a request through our privacy and grievance channel.
5. Public invitations and link sharing
When a user publishes an invitation or card, its page and associated media may be accessible to anyone with the link. Links can be forwarded, indexed, copied, or cached outside InviteLynk's control. A guest parameter or personalised code in a URL may be encoded, but it is not encryption and should not be treated as a secret password. Review content carefully before publishing and avoid sensitive information.
6. Sharing and service providers
We share data only as needed to operate the service: with cloud database, authentication, storage, hosting, communications, analytics (if enabled), and payment providers; with professional advisers; during a lawful business transfer; or when required to comply with law, protect users, or secure the platform. Providers may process data only for contracted purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal data.
7. Cookies and similar technology
InviteLynk uses cookies or local storage that are necessary for sign-in, session security, preferences, and core functionality. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and provide choices where required. You can restrict cookies in your browser, but essential features may stop working.
8. Storage, transfers, and retention
Data may be processed by contracted infrastructure providers in India or other locations, subject to applicable transfer restrictions and safeguards. We retain data while an account or invitation is active and as reasonably needed for delivery, security, dispute resolution, and legal or financial record-keeping. Deleted data may remain for a limited period in protected backups or third-party caches before being removed or overwritten.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, authenticated dashboards, and managed infrastructure. No online system is completely secure. Users should protect account access and carefully control published links. We will assess and notify affected people and authorities of a personal-data breach where required.
10. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request:
- information about and access to your personal data;
- correction, completion, updating, or erasure;
- withdrawal of consent for future processing;
- grievance redressal and, where applicable, nomination of another person to exercise your rights.
Send a request through our Contact and Grievance page. We may verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it. You can also delete or edit supported content from your dashboard.
11. Children
InviteLynk is intended for adults creating event invitations. Do not create an account for a child or knowingly submit a child's personal data unless you are the lawful parent or guardian and the processing is permitted by applicable law. Contact us to report data submitted without proper authority.
12. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as the service and applicable Indian data-protection requirements, including phased requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection framework, evolve. Material changes will be communicated where required. Questions and rights requests can be sent to support@invitelynk.com or through our Contact page.
